At the end of the M5 just past Exeter take the A30 at the top of the steep hill. Make sure that you are in one of the two left lanes. Continue along the A30 for some 95+ miles.
Exit now at Indian Queens/Newquay A39 (which is the first exit off the new Victoria/Goss Moor by-pass), go down to the island and take the third exit (under the bridge) and go on down the dual carriageway to the next island. Take the third exit posted A39 Wadebridge. On for about 2 miles to the next island (St. Columb) and take the first exit onto the A3059 (posted Newquay/Airport 4).
Having turned onto the A 3059 go on for some two miles, and just past the Gulf petrol station on your right take the next right turn signposted Airport, Mawgan Porth (NOT RAF St. Mawgan). Continuing on a winding road through the woods for about four miles you will then pass the airport on your left. There is a 50mph restriction through the woods.
Go on to the T junction and turn right onto the B3276 to Mawgan Porth. Go down the steep hill and BEWARE of the hairpin bend at the bottom, over the narrow bridge (it’s your right of way in this direction) with the beach on your left. Yes, you are nearly there! Continuing up the hill the other side the road bends sharply to the left at the top, signposted Padstow, and you enter Trenance.
Go past the Bedruthan Steps Hotel on your left, and after the next sharp left hand bend go on for 100 metres, where just before the phone box and post box on your left, and next to the ‘Ambiance’ apartments, turn left and then immediately right posted ‘Private access only, 15mph please’. Continue on for 50 metres and take the right fork at the bottom. Go up the small hill past the pink house on your right (Sunnyside) and the next house is Carne Crest, your final destination, where there is ample parking on the left of the car park.
